TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Hi, I’m Makena, and MS Interiors is my virtual interior design studio. These terms cover what you get when you book with me, what I need from you, and how we handle the things that occasionally go sideways. I’ve tried to write it like a person rather than a contract. By booking a project you’re agreeing to what’s below.

The Short Version

The whole page is worth reading, but these are the seven that actually bind you: designs take 3 weeks from when payment, photos and inspiration are all in; open-plan spaces are counted by functional zone and confirmed in writing before payment; you have 10 business days to request revisions; all sales are final except where designs are more than 5 business days late; you buy products directly from retailers; some product links may earn me a commission at no cost to you; and I may share your room without your name or location unless you ask me not to.

Part One. Your Project

1. What You’re Buying

The Refresh is $245 for decor design for one room where you keep your existing furniture, including 5 to 8 decor selections, a photorealistic render, and a shoppable list. The Revamp is $675 for furniture and decor for one room, with the same core deliverables. The Signature is $3,500 for whole-home design by application with three live sessions; the written confirmation of rooms, sessions, and dates is the scope of your project. Additional rooms are $125 on The Refresh and $295 on The Revamp. A layout plan is $155, and extra revision rounds are $95 each.

2. What Counts As A Room

One room means one space used for one purpose. Open-plan spaces are counted by functional zone: a living zone and dining zone are two rooms because each is separate sourcing, composition, and render work. I will confirm the zone count and exact price in writing before payment. Packages cover furniture, decor, and arrangement only, not construction, renovation, permits, electrical, plumbing, gas, heating, cooling, cabinetry, built-ins, appliances, countertops, flooring, fixtures, purchasing, contractor management, or in-home measuring.

3. Your Project Brief

After payment, I send a short brief for your room, priorities, furniture you are keeping, constraints, and inspiration. Your brief defines your project scope. If a requested change is small, I will usually include it; if it changes the job size, I will confirm cost and timing before proceeding. A project cannot start until the brief arrives. If it is not received within 6 months of payment, I may close the project after notice; you may restart it within one year of payment.

4. Timing

Designs take 3 weeks from when payment, images, and inspiration are all received. When everything is in, I will confirm your scope, project start date, and design due date by email. If I need more information from you, your due date moves by the time it takes to receive it, and I will confirm the updated date in writing. Rush delivery may be available in 5 business days for 30% on top of the package price, subject to my schedule and written confirmation. Signature timing is agreed in writing before work begins.

5. What I Need From You

Please provide wide daylight photos of each wall, rough room and access measurements, and inspiration images. I design to the information you provide. If a piece does not fit because a measurement is inaccurate, I can help identify a replacement, but I cannot cover return shipping, restocking fees, or the item cost.

6. Revisions

You have 10 business days from receiving your designs to request revisions. After that, your design is final. Each new design delivery begins a new 10-business-day revision window. The Refresh and Revamp include two revision rounds, and The Signature includes up to six rounds. A revision adjusts pieces or arrangement within the agreed concept; it is not a new concept or a room outside your brief. If an agreed brief item is missing, I will correct it without using a revision round.

7. Payment And Refunds

Payment is due in full through the checkout link before work begins. All sales are final except where I deliver original designs more than 5 business days after the most recently confirmed due date. In that circumstance, you may request a full refund by email within 10 business days of receiving the original designs. Waiting time for information from you does not count toward delay.

8. Buying The Products

You purchase every recommended item directly from the retailer. Shipping, delivery timelines, damage in transit, assembly, returns, stock availability, and retailer policies are between you and that retailer. Before purchasing, check current price, stock and delivery timing, and whether items fit your room and access route. If an item sells out, contact me and I will help identify an alternative without charging a revision round.

9. How I Get Paid

You pay a design fee for your package. I may also earn a commission when you buy through certain retailer links. This does not change your price and is never the reason a product is included. If two pieces are both genuinely right for your room and one earns a commission, I may recommend that piece. You may buy items anywhere you choose.

10. Sharing Your Project

I may use renders, room photos you provide, and finished-room photos on social media, this website, my portfolio, emails, and advertising for my own design work. I will not use your name, location, handle, or other identifying information without your written permission. You can opt out at any time by emailing makena@msinteriors.co. If content has already been posted, I will remove it from my own site and accounts within 7 days, although I cannot remove third-party reposts or cached search results.

11. Your Design

The render and product list are yours to use for your own home. MS Interiors keeps the underlying rights to the design work. Please do not resell designs, present them as your own, or use them commercially without written permission.

12. Things Outside My Control

Renders are visualizations, not construction or structural plans. I do not provide architectural, engineering, contracting, electrical, plumbing, gas, heating, or cooling advice. I cannot guarantee product availability, changing prices, screen-accurate colors, fit based on inaccurate measurements, delivery timing, or retailer handling of orders.

13. What I’m Responsible For

If I make a mistake, I will correct it as described in these terms. My total liability for anything relating to your project is limited to the amount you paid for that project.
